The degree of discrimination that queer people suffer is high. In addition to deliberate derogatory actions, the population often lacks interest, knowledge, and opportunities to encounter queer people and to overcome prejudices.
Raising awareness on the various barriers and disadvantages is urgently needed to promote diversity and inclusion; this requires information, education, and awareness on one’s own prejudices; in the project “Q-Learning” this sensitisation process will take place.
In cooperation with the group of beneficiaries themselves (queers/ respective LGBTIQ) and subject experts, workshops are being developed for two groups: On the one hand for people, who have to do with queer topics in their professional context – especially from caring professions. On the other hand, a second design wants to reach those people who usually never encounter queer themes and LGTBIQ-people.
